How to reserve a trip with a travel agent in Atlanta, from the first message to checkout
When you reserve a trip with a travel agent here, the office does the asking and the arranging, and the hotel and operators keep the money side with you directly. Seven steps, the same for all nine stays and for custom requests.
Seven moves between your message and checkout
- 1
Your week goes in
Through the form on any page, by email or by phone. The form asks for the week, the number of nights, who is coming and which corner you lean toward. Nothing you send commits you to anything.
- 2
The planner asks the suppliers
The office checks rooms with hotels near your corner and dates with the cooking school, music room, museum or operator the stay names. If something is full, the planner finds the nearest match and tells you what changed.
- 3
Suppliers named, prices in writing
Answered by the end of the next planning day, Tuesday to Saturday. It names the hotel and every operator, the price each one charges for your dates, the taxes in dollars, and each supplier's own cancellation terms, word for word.
- 4
You decide
Accept, change or let it go. A quote that is not accepted simply lapses; the office does not chase.
- 5
You pay the suppliers
Each hotel and operator takes payment directly, on its own terms, through its own reservation. The office never takes a card number and this site has no place to enter one.
- 6
Confirmations and the itinerary
Every confirmation comes to you from the supplier. The office sends one itinerary that puts them in order, with addresses and the walk from your hotel to each.
- 7
While you are in the city
Travelers on a reserved stay can reach the office every day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Central to move a supper, find a closer grocery or rearrange a day.
Commission, paid by hotels and operators
Hotels and operators pay the office a commission on what is reserved with them. The price in the quote is the price the supplier charges; the office does not add a line of its own to it. If a supplier pays no commission, the planner says so in the quote.
Cards, holds and ratings stay off the table
It will not take your card, hold a room without your yes, or rate a neighborhood for you. Coverage for a trip that has to be called off is a decision for you to make on your own; the office does not sell it. Changes and cancellations follow each supplier's terms, set out on the New Orleans package cancellation policy page.
Put your week in
The form takes New Orleans requests 24/7. A planner in the Atlanta office answers in writing by the end of the next planning day, Tuesday to Saturday, with a written quote that names the hotel and every operator, their prices and their own cancellation terms.
